Senior Mechanical Engineer Gattaca Projects is the Engineering and Technology consultancy part of the group providing Statement of Work (SoW), outcome-based solutions. Industry trends are pushing more engagements towards SoW and therefore we are seeing significant demand for our services and as such we are investing and growing the team. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will integrate within the technical engineering team to support the delivery of new and existing engineering projects that we have with our clients. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will utilise their expertise and experience to ensure a high level of accuracy and quality in the delivery of their work. Responsibilities: Plan and manage mechanical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards. Review technical specifications and develop engineering solutions. Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure successful project execution. Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions. Oversee the testing and commissioning of mechanical systems. Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality and compliance. Prepare project documentation ensuring timely completion with the project lead. Support and Lead technical reviews with internal and external stakeholders. Work directly with the project management team to identify and manage risks at an early stage You should excel in working with clients and being able to facilitate the development of Projects within the Statement of Work arena. Skills, Competencies and Experiences: Master’s degree level qualification in mechanical engineering or similar degree or demonstrate significant equivalent experience Minimum of 5 years Mechanical Engineering experience within a project lifecycle environment CEng status preferred. Able to work with multiple stakeholders. Excellent IT skills with the MS Office package. Strong communicator able to present to various audiences in a clear and concise way. Ability to take on new challenges and adapt quickly. Due to security restrictions this role is only open to UK nationals able to obtain security clearance.
