Location: Fareham Our client is an international leader in the development and supply of high performance, innovative materials and solutions for applications in filtration and separation. Main function: Production of detail drawings and design packages for manufacture, incorporation of engineering changes. Responsibilities: Collaborate with project engineers, to produce ‘Right First Time’ design packages from proposals and specifications, including; Detail manufacturing and installation drawings to BS8888 Drawing Standards Specification data sheets Factory Acceptance Procedures Installation and Operation Manuals Review and incorporation of engineering change orders Produce proposal drawings in conjunction with sales and applications engineers Incorporation of engineering change requests Basic design analysis e.g. Tolerance/ interference chec k, simple mechanical calculations e.g. Hoop stress. Liase with manufacturing, quality, purchasing and planning to ensure ‘Design for Manufacture’ and ‘Value Engineering’ principles are applied. Play a key role in developing our CAD system; standardising and automating design processes and maintaining the document management system.
