Our client, a leading company in the energy sector, is currently seeking a skilled CAD Engineer to join their team. As a CAD Engineer, you will play a crucial role in producing accurate and detailed technical drawings and plans based on designs provided by the Preconstructions Teams and designers.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce as-constructed plans to client specification
- Carry out relevant site visits to establish current information enabling timely submission of as-constructed plans
- Create high-quality detailed technical drawings and plans based on designs supplied
- Complete modifications to existing drawings
- Survey and record civils and cable information
- Assist Site Engineers in collating information recorded on site
- Assist in analyzing survey data and editing in required formats
- Ensure compliance with all company controlled documents and procedures
- Proactively help to develop new systems to meet changing departmental needs
- Develop good working relationships and maintain close liaison with clients
- Maintain a high standard of quality work
Job Requirements
- SSE / DNO Experience (Preferred)
- Understanding of SSE Drawing practices from LV up to 132kV
- Understanding the purpose and use of GPS/EDM surveying equipment
- Knowledge of engineering principles and ability to create and read technical drawings
- Ability to analyze problems and offer solutions
- Resourcefulness and ability to work under pressure
- Prioritization and responsibility skills
- Good communication skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Methodical in working practices
- Ability to provide support to the tendering and estimating functions
- Extensive technical knowledge
- Full UK Driving Licence
