Our client, a renowned company in the manufacturing sector, is currently seeking a dedicated Assembler to join their team in Waterlooville, Hants on a Temp to perm basis. This role combines board level assembly along with box build, reporting directly to the Production Manager. The ideal candidate will possess a positive 'can-do' attitude, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:- PCBA assembly involving SMT and PTH soldering
- Cable assembly, utilising crimp tools
- Electro mechanical assembly
- Working from customer BOMs and drawings to meet required standards
- PCBA rework
- Experience/knowledge of IPC 610
- Proficiency in PTH/SMT soldering to a minimum of IPC610 class 2
- Excellent component recognition and knowledge
- Ability to work with fine pitch components under a microscope
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand and clearly convey technical information
- Ability to prioritise a busy workload and excel under pressure
- Inspection experience is advantageous but not essential
Contract position with the opportunity to transition to permanent. Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 15:30.
