SMT Operator

Our client, a renowned company in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a skilled SMT Operator to join their team in Waterlooville, Hants on a temp to perm basis. Position Details: Position: Production Assembler, Pick & Place Operative Reporting to: Production Manager Main Responsibilities: Operating and maintaining the SMT Pick & Place machines and adhering to stringent health & safety requirements, including: Operating screen printing machine Programming and setup of Pick & Place machines Programming and maintaining reflow oven PCBA assembly involving SMT and PTH soldering Cable assembly, involving the use of crimp tools Electro-mechanical assembly Working from customer BOMs/drawings to ensure that manufacturing is completed to required standards PCBA rework Job Requirements: Ability to operate Pick & Place machine essential Experience in off-line programming of Pick & Place machines (Juki etc.) Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills Excellent component recognition and knowledge Ability to work with fine pitch components under a microscope Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to understand and clearly communicate technical information Capacity to prioritise a busy workload and excel unde…
