Description
- Lead and manage the development team in the design, development, and implementation of IFS solutions
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Ensure the quality and performance of IFS applications through rigorous testing and validation
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery
- Stay updated with the latest IFS technologies and industry trends
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to IFS applications
- Conduct regular system reviews and performance assessments
- Implement and oversee Agile SDLC, backlog prioritisation, quality assurance, change and release management
- Lead Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc)
- Implement Agile metrics and deliver reporting to a wide range of stakeholders from technical teams to executive leadership
- Maintain deep technical and functional knowledge of IFS cloud across Finance, HR, P2P & Projects
- Own backlogs, drive roadmaps and oversee implementation of change
- Ensure platform security and data integrity, maintaining compliance with internal cyber, data protection and regulatory policies
- Lead on conformance with internal processes for change management, design authority, etc
- Build strong relationships between IT and business functions, establishing regular communication forums and aligning application functionality with business objectives
- Collaborate with the ERP programme team to ensure parity and clarity for implementation approach between project and BAU streams
- Produce relevant and consistent reporting to demonstrate the workload, outcomes and challenges of the team and allow for effective and responsive prioritisation
- Build a collaborative and effective partnership with key suppliers, ensuring timely and high-quality services.
- Stay appraised of new innovations and ensure that RES is prepared to adopt them from both a technical and functional perspective.
- Provide strong and accessible line management to manage performance and support employee wellness and growth
- Provide hands-on leadership to prioritize, plan, and allocate resources effectively to address customer needs and resolve critical issues.
- Develop clear and transparent resource plans, corelating demand against capacity, recognising under/over utilisation of resource pool and building justifications for additional resources where appropriate
- Continuously monitor the overall skills and capabilities of the team, developing resources to support the delivery of the most valuable technologies within the portfolio
- Mentor and guide a globally distributed team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation
- Collaborate across multiple time zones to ensure seamless communication and coordination in a global environment
- Present, support, and lead-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude
- Collaborates with IT peers and leadership to ensure that IT services are integrated and aligned with the broader IT strategy
- Participate in strategic planning and contribute to the development of the overall IT strategy
- Deep technical experience in IFS development in complex project and/or BAU scenarios.
