Your Mission
- Prioritise health, safety, and the environment in all business reviews and decisions.

- Lead by example and intervene when at-risk situations or conditions are observed.
- Hold yourself and those you interact with accountable for health, safety, and environment outcomes.
- Report all incidents of injury, near misses, potential for environmental harm, plant damage, or other adverse conditions as soon as you are aware.
- Guide and coach project personnel in understanding and implementing HSE plans.
- Assist in the development of project-specific HSE Management Plans and related documents.
- Participate in accreditation or certification audits to ensure compliance.
- Conduct regular check-ups on equipment to ensure they are safe to use.
- Train and oversee workers on safety procedures and practices.
- Monitor compliance with PTW, isolation, and LOTO.
- Assist with the development of an Emergency Response Plan for the workplace.
- Compliance monitoring and management of subcontractor QHSE.
- Facilitate the dissemination of health safety environment information to all relevant personnel.
- Assist in the investigation and formal reporting of incidents.
- Undertake inspections/audits of designated work areas to assess compliance.
- Ensure timely correction of HSE deficiencies identified in inspections and audits.
- Assist in developing corrective action plans to eliminate deficiencies.
- Liaison with WorkSafe, EPA, and other statutory authority visits.
- Attend/facilitate/deliver HSE meetings.
- Participate in toolbox talks and consultative forums for health and safety matters.
- Assist in ensuring an effective HSE Committee at the workplace.
- Communicate incident occurrences to project/workplace management immediately.
- Assist in learning and development planning for the project team.
- Ensure timely reporting of HSE performance data.
- Review emergency response preparedness and assist with drills.
- Monitor fire integrity and systems compliance.
- Implement requirements of alerts and lessons learnt from the QHSE Manager.
- Participate in the assessment of tenders submitted by contractors.
- Assist in the management of Workerβs Compensation claims and injury management programs.
- Manage PPE and HSE through digital platforms.
- Facilitate participation in safety in design and construction risk assessment workshops.
- Engage in emergency evacuation drills and safety management of commissioning activities.
- Carry out QHSE assurance activities.
Your Background
- At minimum an OHS diploma.
- 5+ years HSE experience in renewable energy construction sites.
- Excellent auditing skills and formal audit qualification.
- Previous experience with ISO 45001 and OFSC accreditation processes.
- Environmental qualification and incident investigation training.
- TAE40116 Certificate IV Training and Assessing.
- Working knowledge of construction safety digital platforms.
- Current first aid qualification and white card.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Strong organisation skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards preferred.
