Environmental Manager / Environmental Practice Manager
Summary
We have exciting and ambitious plans for our future. We’re aiming to more than double the size of our food and beverage business by 2025 by investing in the development of our people, creating new food offers that appeal to our 26 million visitors each year, and improving the environments where we serve food.
To support this growth, we’re expanding our central food and beverage team, focusing on product development and procurement, as well as investing in marketing, operating standards, and environmental practices.
What you\’ll be doing as an Environmental Practice Manager / Environmental Manager
You will aim for a continuous reduction of the environmental impact of the National Trust’s food & beverage operations by identifying best practices and implementing innovative initiatives. Collaborating with colleagues, you\’ll develop and launch toolkits, guidance, and frameworks to support operational teams in improving their Conservation Performance Index and reducing energy consumption.
Key requirements for the Environmental Manager include:
- Knowledge of key aspects of environmental practices in food operations, including waste streams, raw materials, energy, and water use.
- Good understanding of the latest innovations in environmental practice.
- Ability to commission and respond to external/internal research, intelligence, and analysis.
- Understanding of the challenges involved in managing multi-site food & beverage operations.
