From day one you will support delivery of the Operational Excellence roadmap to United Utilities. As an Operational Excellence Specialist, you will play a leading role in transforming our organisation to deliver greater efficiency, quality, and performance. You will work across departments to identify opportunities, implement improvements, shape and embed a culture of continuous improvement throughout United Utilities.
Job Accountabilities

Be part of a great team, working hard to create a culture of continuous improvement across a mix of field and office based functions in the North West.

Identify and lead step change process improvements that make a real difference to UU customers and colleagues.

Design and deliver training to our leadership community in Lean and Six Sigma techniques.

Facilitate Value Stream Mapping, Customer Journey Mapping and Kaizen events to identify waste within existing processes and recommend practical solutions.

Coach managers across the organisation in application of lean and operational excellence to tackle a wide range of challenges.

Coach our community of Green Belts to accreditation and support an engaging and highly practical learning experience for them.

Work closely with the organisations senior leaders to drive better environmental and customer outcomes through Operational Excellence.
We are looking for a proactive and results-oriented individual with a passion for operational excellence and a proven track record in delivering measurable improvements.

Lean Practitioner, Green Belt, Black Belt, Master Black Belt or equivalent certification

Strong coaching and influencing skills – able to inspire others to try new ways of working.

Experience in deployment planning for operational excellence, continuous improvement and/or process excellence.

Track record of results through leading process improvement projects and a strong drive for results.

Sound analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and complex processes and to present insights in a compelling way.

Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.

Demonstrate persistence, enthusiasm, self-confidence, self-awareness and an ability to learn.
