You will be a member of the Asset Optimisation and Remediation Team within E.ON Next Net Zero Delivery. E.ON Next has millions of smart meters installed in our customer homes and there is a requirement to ensure that these meters #staysmart. Our team success is measured considering the percentage of fully operating smart meters & our success in the delivery of asset replacement projects.
In a nutshell, this delivery project role is responsible to establish, forecast, maintain and manage journeys for smart asset projects, that require meter technicians to visit customers to replace assets or fix problems with non-operating assets.
For non-operating meters, you and your project team will define and source the data to determine the health of our smart meters, identifying those which are not providing meter readings or sending half hourly data, and create targeted projects to fix the issues.
For asset replacement projects, you will be in regular contact with our Asset Strategy & Commercial colleagues to deliver the asset replacement strategy through to successful appointments with customers, using our field resources, all with good financial governance.
Within the Asset Optimisation and Remediation Team, you will play an important role in keeping smart meters Smart! Your stakeholders will be wide ranging including senior leaders from within Net Zero Delivery, our marketing team ‘Go to Market’ and Customer Operations as well as external parties when needed.
The ideal candidate will be confident, have great planning & forecasting skills, be project delivery minded, able to work within a technical team, and keen to optimise ways of working with the end customer always at the heart. You will be tenacious and ready to dive into the depths of data, to use it effectively to lead projects.
Main responsibilities include –

Establish the means, and drive multiple pillars of our operation to campaign customers to book appointments for meter technicians to visit and solve problems with our smart metering devices, or replace devices, using traditional methods such as email or SMS, as well as digital methods including app push notifications with the online means to book an appointment,

Be the single point of contact for the operation to contact for #staysmart projects requiring campaigns for field visits,

Work closely with various capacity and demand planning stakeholders to optimise field and appointment booking resource

Using analyst support, define and deliver reporting to senior leaders, and the #staysmart squad lead to drive performance & change across the operational pillars, such as field job outcomes, appointment booking quality, how many times customers have been contacted per method, and never been campaigned

Drive performance for first time right appointments using the correct job notes for meter technicians and job templates

Develop strategies with go to market colleagues to overcome customer apathy to booking a #staysmart appointment and report campaign performance

Act on aborted appointments to ensure a fast and effective follow-up,

Optimise the end-to-end journey across the operation to maximise quality and effectiveness,

Maintain a rolling 13-month forecast for all scopes of work

Arrange and optimise dashboards that report progress sharing the dashboards across the business,

Optimise and maintain a customer prioritisation and selection models collaborating with customer operations

Provide insight to financial governance forums including asset replacement forecasts and actuals resulting in premature replacement charge risk, changing smart meter health deployment strategies according to direction from #staysmart squad lead

Collaborate with our asset resolution team act on performance insight to reduce unnecessary asset replacement

Work with Asset and Logistics stakeholders to ensure that required asset stock levels are available to complete remediation activities & asset exchanges

Confident people person with excellent oral, written, interpersonal and influencing skills to ensure the most effective delivery of projects safely, on time, to budget, with best quality and excellent customer satisfaction

Excellent skills manipulating data in excel and not shy to learn new tools to obtain data and create reports

We don’t need you to be a technical specialist to remediate problems , analyse data flows or understand technical specifications, but we do need you to be able to understand the solutions proposed to project manage and deliver positive results to our customers

Ideally have a good understanding of Smart meters, with an emphasis on SMETS1 & SMETS2 Assets, DCC and the supporting IT systems and associated data – in particular smart meter readings
