SUMMARY
We are a global innovative and market-leading software & services company based in Chorley serving clients across the energy sector in the UK, US, Canada, and Denmark. We deliver sophisticated software solutions and managed services in a Private Cloud infrastructure, servicing both traditional and modern real-time, smart energy clients.
We operate a Hybrid working policy so you will be able to flex between working in the office and your home location to carry out this role, however during your initial training period the need to be in office with other team members will be essential. Our UK office is based in Chorley, which is where you will be based, and you will support the UK/Europe region.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITES
The Content Marketing Specialist is a strategic specialist role focused on content leadership, requiring strong writing, planning, and analytical skills to drive engagement and demand through content. The role will have a deep focus on content strategy, creation, distribution and optimisation with ownership and management of the content lifecycle. You will be expected to work independently and proficiently with multiple platforms and tools.
- Content Creation: Develop high-quality written and multimedia content, including thought leadership articles, whitepapers, guides, blogs, and email campaigns, ensuring alignment with ESG brand guidelines and target personas.
- Content Innovation: Proactively explore, create, and integrate new content formats, such as video, infographics, and interactive content to diversify ESG\βs current content portfolio.
- Content Distribution: Manage the distribution and promotion of ESG\βs content across owned, earned, and paid channels to maximise reach, engagement, and demand generation efforts.
- Content Repurposing: Identify opportunities to repurpose and refresh existing content into new formats and channels to maximise value, efficiency, and reach.
- Campaign Support: Partner with the wider marketing team to help drive campaigns, producing targeted content for lead generation, nurture, and client engagement across multiple channels (web, social, email, events).
- Content Planning: Own the ESG content calendar, taking a proactive approach to ensure timely delivery of assets and strategic alignment with key marketing initiatives, industry events, product launches, and internal ESG initiatives.
- Content Management: Maintain an organised and up-to-date content repository for efficient team access and by internal teams.
- Internal Collaboration: Work with the Regional Marketing Manager, Product Marketing Manager, product managers, sales teams, and technical experts to gather insights, translate complex topics into accessible content, and ensure accuracy and consistency across all deliverables.
- Content Optimisation: Track content-specific KPIβs and apply SEO best practices to optimise content for search visibility and lead generation, using data and analytics to improve performance.
- Competitive Analysis: Analyse ESG\βs content and that of key competitors and industry leaders to identify gaps, trends, and opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
- Performance Reporting: Monitor, analyse, and report on content performance, providing actionable insights and monthly updates to the Regional Marketing Manager.
- Internal ESG Content: Support ESG\βs internal content and communications to keep the wider business informed, engaged, and help promote company events and corporate activities on the ESG website and LinkedIn.

You must have:
- 3+ yearsβ experience in marketing or content creation.
- Advanced writing, storytelling, and content repurposing skills, along with excellent verbal communication skills.
- Creative experience with basic filming, video editing, design, and other multimedia tools. (equipment provided)
- Demonstrate ability to translate technical and complex topics into clear, engaging narratives.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- Strategic thinking
- Proven experience of driving innovation in content formats and delivery
- Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy across multimedia formats.
- A positive and energetic can-do attitude.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics and basic design or publishing platforms.
Desirable:
- Marketing or communications-related degree.
- Experience in a B2B marketing environment.
- Familiarity with SEO principles, digital marketing best practices and content management systems (such as WordPress and HubSpot).
- Experience with project management tools.
