We are an innovative and market-leading software & services company based in Chorley serving clients in the utility sector ranging from new entrants to large existing suppliers. We deliver sophisticated software solutions and managed services in a Private Cloud infrastructure, servicing both traditional and modern real-time, smart energy clients. We operate a Hybrid working policy so you will be able to flex between working in the office and your home location to carry out this role, however during your initial training period the need to be in the office with other team members will be essential.
As a Senior Finance Business Partner within the FP&A team, you will provide strategic financial leadership and commercial decision support across our Sales and Marketing functions. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, you will help shape growth strategies, optimise investment decisions and improve financial performance by providing high-quality insight, challenge and analysis. This role will partner closely with Sales, Marketing and Revenue Operations leadership to drive forecasting accuracy, support strategic planning and ensure commercial initiatives deliver sustainable business value.
You will play a key role in translating company growth objectives into robust financial plans and performance measures, helping leaders understand the financial impact of decisions across the customer lifecycle. The successful candidate will bring strong FP&A and business partnering experience, ideally gained within a SaaS or technology organisation, with a deep understanding of Go-To-Market functions including sales performance, pipeline management, customer acquisition, retention and marketing investment effectiveness.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the senior FP&A partner to Sales and Marketing leadership teams.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes across Go-To-Market functions.
- Provide strategic financial insight and recommendations to support revenue growth, profitability and business performance.
- Partner with stakeholders to evaluate commercial strategies, pricing initiatives, market opportunities and investment decisions.
- Support annual planning processes, ensuring sales and marketing strategies are translated into achievable and financially robust plans.
- Develop and maintain financial models supporting revenue forecasting, customer acquisition, retention and growth initiatives.
- Analyse performance against key SaaS metrics including Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR), customer acquisition cost (CAC), customer lifetime value (LTV), pipeline conversion and retention metrics.
- Provide clear analysis of business performance, identifying key risks, opportunities and corrective actions.
- Challenge business assumptions and forecasts constructively to improve planning accuracy and decision quality.
- Support investment appraisal and business case development for strategic growth initiatives.
- Partner with Revenue Operations and Commercial teams to improve forecasting methodologies and operational reporting.
- Deliver high-quality reporting and presentations for senior leadership and the exec team.
- Drive continuous improvement across FP&A processes, reporting capabilities and planning frameworks.
- Coach and support Finance Business Partners and FP&A analysts where appropriate.
- Act as a key contributor to wider Finance transformation and strategic initiatives.

- Significant experience within FP&A, Commercial Finance or Finance Business Partnering roles.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
