As part of the Home Energy Scotland marketing team, this role focuses on developing and delivering marketing communications plans, with a particular emphasis on digital content and social media. It supports the continued evolution of our flagship consumer advice programme at a time when householders in Scotland rely on us more than ever. The role is a key part of the Home Energy Scotland marketing function, working closely with local advice centres across Scotland and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure activity is delivered on brand, on time and within budget. It also contributes to the ongoing growth and development of our marketing, digital content and social media activity, helping the programme strengthen its digital‑first, self‑service offerings for householders. A core aspect of the role involves measuring the impact of campaign activity and supporting the reporting of key marketing metrics, ensuring insights from previous work help shape future plans.

You will join the Marketing Services team which is made up of around 23 colleagues based across the UK. We deliver high-quality marketing and communications activity for our clients across a range of programmes, from energy advice to households to low‑carbon travel support for businesses and local authorities. The Marketing Services team is part of the Marketing, Digital and Technology centre of excellence. We design, deliver and continuously improve our products and services to delight our customers and exceed our business goals. We work in an increasingly agile way, and we are customer‑centric, product‑orientated and data‑driven in all that we do. You’ll get access to a rich array of professional development opportunities in this role. This includes company‑wide offers, such as coaching, project management and leadership training, as well as specialist marketing and communications skills development organised by our in‑house ‘champions’. We cover professional membership costs (such as the Chartered Institute of Marketing) as a staff benefit.

What you will do:

  • You will develop and deliver campaign strategies and activity to support the achievement of strategy objectives.
  • You’ll work across a range of marketing activities, including social media management, content strategy and creation, digital advertising and email marketing.
  • You will build and maintain strong relationships with and provide expert marketing guidance and advice to programme stakeholders.

What you will bring:

  • Strong knowledge of marketing, social media and digital content is essential, including planning, commissioning, tactical delivery and reporting that drives continuous improvement.
  • Helping us connect with audiences through impactful, accessible digital content and engaging social media activity is a key part of the role.
  • Robust knowledge and experience of working in a busy team with competing stakeholder requirements is required.
  • A willingness to adapt and thrive in a quickly changing environment is important.
  • Being a strong and confident communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels is crucial.
  • An understanding of, and commitment to, Energy Saving Trust’s mission and values is expected, including our efforts to become a more diverse, inclusive and equitable organisation.

For more information, please see the job description. Please submit an anonymised CV and cover letter, removing your name, address, email address, and any other identifying details. Please note, applications submitted without a cover letter may be rejected.
