RTL Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a major substation project in Ipswich on a long-term freelance basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile infrastructure project, taking responsibility for delivering works safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day delivery of substation and associated civil engineering works.
  • Lead site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Ensure all works are carried out in line with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Monitor programme, budgets, and project performance.
  • Attend client and progress meetings, providing regular updates.
  • Identify and manage project risks and implement mitigation measures.
  • Ensure all project documentation and reporting is completed accurately.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager on substation, power, utilities, or major infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of NEC contracts.
  • SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
