The Head of Delivery is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of Energy One’s EU portfolio, ensuring successful execution across a mix of large, medium, and smaller initiatives, with an annual delivery value of €3–5m. This role leads Energy One’s EU delivery function, owning the successful execution of a €3–5m portfolio across complex, multi-project environments. It ensures delivery is efficient, commercially robust, and aligned to customer outcomes, acting as the key bridge between Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering. The role is pivotal to Energy One’s ability to scale delivery across the EU while driving quality and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving operational excellence, enabling growth, and strengthening customer relationships.

Requirements

  • Delivery Leadership & Execution
    • Own delivery across multiple concurrent programmes and projects
    • Ensure scope, time, quality, and budget are achieved
    • Take overall accountability for complex, multi-product and multi-vendor deliveries
    • Establish robust delivery governance, reporting, and executive steering across all programmes
    • Oversee portfolio performance, actively managing risks, issues, dependencies, and progress
    • Drive consistency, predictability, and transparency across delivery
  • Resource Planning & Performance
    • Lead resource planning, capacity management, and utilisation across PMs and BAs
    • Balance delivery demand with pre-sales and business priorities
    • Own delivery KPIs and utilisation performance across the function
  • Commercial Ownership & Financial Performance
    • Own delivery contribution to revenue and gross margin across all projects
    • Track and improve project profitability, managing scope and delivery risks
    • Partner with Finance on forecasting and revenue recognition
    • Support pre-sales activities, including solution shaping, estimation, and customer presentations
  • Customer Success & Relationship Management
    • Act as a senior customer-facing delivery leader, ensuring high levels of customer engagement throughout project lifecycles and into business as usual.
    • Build strong executive-level customer relationships
    • Drive customer satisfaction, retention, and reference ability for future opportunities.
    • Ensure smooth transition from delivery to Customer Success and account growth
  • Efficiency, Automation & Continuous Improvement
    • Drive delivery efficiency through standardisation, automation, and reuse across delivery
    • Champion cross-product delivery models to reduce duplication and accelerate delivery timelines
    • Lead adoption of automation tools, reporting frameworks, and establish best practices in delivery methodology
  • Team Leadership, Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Lead and develop Project Managers and Business Analysts, setting clear expectations, accountability
    • Own utilisation performance and delivery KPIs across the team
    • Build capability across delivery, commercial awareness, and customer engagement
    • Translate customer, market, and regulatory requirements into clear and measurable outcomes
    • Ensure alignment between customer needs, product direction, and delivery execution
  • Energy Market & SaaS Delivery Expertise
    • Experience within energy markets (trading, risk, settlement, or billing)
    • Lead delivery within a SaaS software environment, balancing customer change, product evolution, and platform stability
    • Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to manage dependencies, trade-offs, and delivery sequencing
    • Ensure effective delivery models (Agile, hybrid, or waterfall as appropriate) are applied pragmatically
