Job Description

Are you passionate about helping organisations transform the way they operate through technology?
We're looking for an experienced Software Implementation Consultant to join our delivery team and lead the successful implementation of our enterprise energy trading, workflow automation and operational platforms for customers across the UK and Europe.
In this role, you'll work directly with customers to understand their business objectives, challenge existing processes, and guide them towards adopting proven product capabilities and industry best practices. Rather than designing bespoke solutions, you'll help customers achieve their goals by configuring and implementing software products that support standardised, scalable business processes.
You'll lead workshops, define and document requirements, configure solutions, deliver training, and support customers through testing and go-live activities. Working alongside Project Managers and technical specialists, you'll play a key role in delivering projects ranging from £50,000 to £1,000,000.

Job Requirements

  • Lead discovery and requirements workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Analyse and document business requirements, processes and operational workflows.
  • Challenge and refine customer requirements to ensure alignment with product capabilities and industry best practices.
  • Produce clear requirements documentation and obtain formal customer sign-off.
  • Configure enterprise software solutions to meet agreed business requirements.
  • Design and configure workflow and automation processes within low-code and configurable software platforms.
  • Facilitate requirement validation, solution walkthroughs and customer demonstrations.
  • Deliver user training and support change adoption activities.
  • Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Manage implementation activities through go-live and hypercare phases.
  • Work closely with Project Managers to deliver projects on time, within scope and to budget.
  • Collaborate with Product, Development, Support and Customer Success teams to ensure successful customer outcomes

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience delivering enterprise software implementations, ideally within energy, utilities, commodity trading, financial services or other complex operational environments.
  • Proven experience leading customer workshops and requirements gathering sessions.
  • Strong business analysis and requirements management skills.
  • Experience documenting business processes, workflows and functional requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and customer-facing communication skills.
  • Ability to challenge requirements constructively and influence customer decision-making.
  • Experience configuring software platforms rather than managing bespoke software development.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across several concurrent projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally across the UK and Europe

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience within power, gas, renewable energy or commodity trading markets.
  • Understanding of energy trading operations, nominations, scheduling, settlements or back-office processes.
  • Experience implementing workflow, orchestration, or integration platforms.
  • Experience defining system interfaces and end-to-end business processes.
  • Knowledge of APIs, SQL and system integration concepts.
  • Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI.
  • Experience supporting testing, data migration and cutover activities.

What Success Looks Likenefits

  • Customers successfully adopt standard product functionality with minimal custom development.
  • Business requirements are clearly defined, agreed and traceable throughout delivery.
  • Implementations are delivered efficiently and consistently using established delivery methodologies.
  • Customers are fully trained, prepared and confident ahead of go-live.
  • Projects are delivered with high levels of customer satisfaction and business value.
