Energy Networks Association (ENA) represents the UK and Ireland’s electricity network operators. ENA helps members deliver energy to communities safely, sustainably and reliably, providing a central voice for the networks during a period of major change across the energy system.

As Senior Policy Officer, you will help shape and deliver ENA’s policy engagement strategy across Parliament, Government and the wider regulatory landscape. You will advise senior leaders, produce high-quality policy insights and manage strategic programmes that support ENA’s policy development and advocacy work.

Main responsibilities:

  • Monitor political, regulatory and policy developments and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Produce clear, insightful briefings and correspondence for senior leaders and member organisations.
  • Lead consultation responses and support strategic policy programmes.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues, members and external stakeholders.
  • Support wider external affairs activity including media relations, digital communications, stakeholder engagement and crisis communications.

Key skills and experience required:

  • Up to three years’ experience in policy, Parliament or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of political and regulatory processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Demonstrable interest in energy policy and its impact on consumers and communities.
