Employment Type: Full Time | Permanent. Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm

We are currently seeking a high-performing Contract Administrator to support the delivery and administration of our BHP operations. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth coordination of contractual, financial and administrative processes across multiple mining sites. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working closely with operations, finance and client stakeholders.

About the Role

The BHP Contract Administrator plays a key role in managing the administrative and reporting functions that support our BHP contracts. The position ensures accurate reporting, timely invoicing, payroll processing and effective communication between ELX teams and site stakeholders. You will work closely with the head of the department and internal departments to ensure contractual obligations, reporting requirements and KPIs are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Duties

  • Meet and greet ELX and BHP visitors
  • Manage communications across multiple BHP sites including Olympic Dam, Prominent Hill, Carrapateena, and Oak Dam
  • Respond to ICT Web Portal enquiries within required timeframes
  • Monitor and process job sheets ensuring accuracy and compliance with procedures
  • Support mining project invoicing and submit documentation to accounts
  • Provide general administrative support and cover for Transport Coordinators when required

Weekly Duties

  • Produce BHP invoice claim templates across all sites
  • Collate operational data and prepare weekly, monthly and reports for management
  • Attend weekly planning and performance meetings

Fortnightly Duties

  • Process payroll for approximately 90 staff across warehouse, operations, and drivers
  • Manage payroll queries and ensure timesheets and driver documentation are accurate

About You

To succeed in this role, you will be highly organised, detail-focused and confident working with multiple stakeholders and deadlines. Ideally you will have:

  • Experience in contract administration, accounts administration, or operational administration
  • Strong Excel and reporting skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience in transport, logistics, mining, or industrial environments (highly regarded)
