HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGER
BUXTON
DAYS
UP TO £45K
We are looking for a motivated Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to join a market leader in their respective industry. Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be entrusted to lead parts of the business right from the start with responsibility for key results and involve managing hard and soft services, site and facilities maintenance, HSE group and improvement projects for the site. The position will appeal to a strong HSE professional looking for their next challenging role within a secure and stable company.
Role Description
- Develop and report HSE Key Performance Indicators
- Coach and guide leadership team to improve safety culture and compliance
- Define and develop HSE policy and improvement strategies
- Act as Subject Matter Expert for all HSE issues and link with external agencies
- Ensure root cause analysis of all significant incidents and train others accordingly
- Develop and manage the site safety budget
- Ensure full statutory compliance eg risk assessments, COSHH control
Skills and Qualifications
- NEBOSH qualified, with experience of leading a safety function, Bachelor\’s Degree (desirable)
- Exposure to and experience of ISO14001 and ISO 18001 environmental and occupational safety
- Detailed knowledge of UK/EU safety legislation and experience of change management
