The role & about the client: Our client is a privately owned construction firm operating as a main contractor to deliver projects across Hampshire and Dorset. As a growing Regional Construction Contractor, they are searching for an Assistant Site Manager to join the expanding site delivery team. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Site Manager to join a Hampshire based business delivering new build and refurbishment projects across the South Coast from £1m - £5m. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong competency running a variety of projects from schools, commercial and student accommodation. You will work closely with the Site Managers to manage the new build and refurbishment schemes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee sub-contractors and trades teams on site
  • Ensure projects are delivered to programme
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely
  • Reporting into a Project Manager

Essential Qualifications/Experience Required

  • Proven track record in managing construction projects up to £5m.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in construction site management
  • Relevant construction qualification
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification
  • CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) cardholder
  • First Aid at Work qualification
  • Full UK driving licence
