Test Technician – Engineering York, North Yorkshire YO1 Salary £27,112 per annum Working Hours 37.5 hours per week, day shift pattern: Start 7:00am or 8:00am, Finish 3:00pm or 4:00pm Key Responsibilities * Test and align precision components using engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions. * Conduct a range of tests including fit, vibration, and response to environmental factors. * Make precise adjustments using microscopes, scalpels, and small tools to achieve required frequency and amplitude ranges. * Record, analyse, and interpret data from test equipment and analysers. * Fault find, diagnose issues, and support resolution while maintaining quality standards. * Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment. * Complete accurate documentation and update systems as required. * Contribute to continuous improvement and team objectives. Skills & Experience * High attention to detail and a methodical, patient approach to work. * Strong problem‑solving and fault‑finding ability. * Good hand‑eye coordination and dexterity. * Ability to follow processes and technical instructions accurately. * Experience working in a team environment and independently. * Willingness to learn and develop new skills. Desirable * Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment. * Familiarity with microscopes, test equipment, or small hand tools. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or data. Qualifications * GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English. Eligibility Requirements * Must be a UK or NATO citizen. * Must have the right to work in the UK.
