About the Role
Working in Assembly, this position works closely with the Production Engineering and Quality departments to assemble electronic, electrical, mechanical and electro/mechanical assemblies from drawings and/or procedures.
- Skills/Experience required for role of Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Assembler:
- Minimum 2 years assembling electronic, electrical, mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Trained to IPC 610 requirements and with minimum 2 years' experience of soldering and crimping components and assemblies, including wiring cable assemblies and PCB's.
- Minimum of 2 years assembling mechanical and/or electromechanical sub-assemblies and products.
- Can work with minimal supervision but be team orientated.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings desirable but not essential.
The job role will include
Working within a cross-trained team of experienced technical assembly staff this role will involve.
- Assembly of electronic, electrical, mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies from drawings and / or procedures using equipment including hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and assembly fixtures safely and correctly.
- Assembly work could include solder and crimping of assemblies or other components such as cable looms or pcb's.
- Testing and inspection of assemblies via procedures, jigs and fixtures
- General assembly work to meet monthly targets
- Could involve working within a dust free, clean room environment
- Support training of new team members when required
- Supports wider operational activities when required
- Follow company quality standards, ISO procedures, and ESD control
- Ensure all work meets engineering specifications and customer requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area in line with 5S principles
- Adhere to health & safety requirements, including safe handling of electrical components and tools.
