A well‑established manufacturer of specialist equipment requires a skilled Quality Inspector to join the Quality Team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Goods‑In inspections ensuring all incoming materials comply with engineering drawings, specifications and required material certification.
  • Support non‑conformance in goods‑in inspection and generate NCR documentation.
  • Perform routine patrol inspections across Production, Manufacturing and Assembly areas to verify process conformance, product quality, and adherence to company standards.
  • Compile and generate complete certification packs for stainless‑steel high‑pressure filtration assemblies, ensuring all documentation meets internal standards and customer requirements.
  • Manage and maintain calibration activities for measurement equipment across all sites, including coordination of third‑party inspection services, performing in‑house calibrations and producing calibration reports and records.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Lean, process improvements).
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to audit readiness.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience working within an inspection or production environment.
  • Ability to use standard metrology equipment correctly (callipers, bore micrometers, height gauge, surface plate, pin gauges, etc.).
  • Experience with administration work and using Microsoft Office / PDF software.
  • Calibration management experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Desirable

  • Working knowledge of SAP or other similar ERP system.
  • Shadowgraph, CMM, Form tracer or surface tester experience.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
