A well‑established manufacturer of specialist equipment requires a skilled Quality Inspector to join the Quality Team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Goods‑In inspections ensuring all incoming materials comply with engineering drawings, specifications and required material certification.
- Support non‑conformance in goods‑in inspection and generate NCR documentation.
- Perform routine patrol inspections across Production, Manufacturing and Assembly areas to verify process conformance, product quality, and adherence to company standards.
- Compile and generate complete certification packs for stainless‑steel high‑pressure filtration assemblies, ensuring all documentation meets internal standards and customer requirements.
- Manage and maintain calibration activities for measurement equipment across all sites, including coordination of third‑party inspection services, performing in‑house calibrations and producing calibration reports and records.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Lean, process improvements).
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to audit readiness.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience working within an inspection or production environment.
- Ability to use standard metrology equipment correctly (callipers, bore micrometers, height gauge, surface plate, pin gauges, etc.).
- Experience with administration work and using Microsoft Office / PDF software.
- Calibration management experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Desirable
- Working knowledge of SAP or other similar ERP system.
- Shadowgraph, CMM, Form tracer or surface tester experience.
- Valid UK driving licence.
