This is an in person entry to mid level drafting role where you help turn engineering concepts into clear, buildable electrical drawings. You work alongside experienced engineers and designers, gain hands on training, and contribute to real projects that serve long term industrial and commercial clients. What you will do:
- Use AutoCAD to produce electrical drawings
- Convert sketches and markups into schematics, wiring diagrams, AC and DC single line diagrams, arrangement drawings, assembly drawings, and bills of materials
- Follow verbal and written direction from engineers
- Coordinate drawing development to support project schedules
- Identify errors, conflicts, or non standard conditions and suggest alternatives
- Attend project meetings with engineers as needed
- Support field verification of drawings at client sites with engineers
- Manage document control tasks
- Interpret field notes and apply details to drawings
- Support additional project needs as assigned
Work environment and physical requirements:
- Work at a desk or sit stand workstation most of the day
- Use a mouse and keyboard for extended periods
- Lift up to 40 pound paper rolls for wide format plotters on occasion
- Read and interpret technical drawings
- Handle and organize large format drawings sized 24 by 36 inches
- Client site work may include standing or walking on concrete surfaces, climbing stairs, moving across uneven terrain or confined spaces, hearing and distinguishing sounds, seeing in shade, and brightness
- On site work is limited at entry level
