Here at Halton Housing, we are looking for 2 experienced Environmental Services Operatives to work across our vibrant organisation.
Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
Duration: x1 Permanent, x1 Fixed Term Contract (6 months)
What You’ll Do:
- Assist in carrying out a range of horticultural and cleansing operations to open spaces and individual gardens, including but not limited to; litter picking, fly tipping, removal and environmental improvements.
- Be proactive in reporting repairs, hazards, defects, fly tipping and any health and safety matters.
- Carry out a range of grass cutting operations including grass cutting with hand, pedestrian controlled and ride on machines.
- Pruning and general maintenance of hedgerows and shrub beds with hand tools and powered cutters, including soil preparation and mulching.
What You’ll Need:
- Full Driving Licence.
- NPTC Unit PA1 - Safe Use of Pesticides.
- NPTC Unit PA6 - Use of Handheld applicator.
- Lantra / NPTC Use of Rode-on Rotary Mowers.
- Experience undertaking a full range of grounds maintenance activities and the use of grounds maintenance equipment.
- Understanding and awareness of Health and Safety Regulations.
- Ability to work co-operatively as part of a team.
- Ability to follow defined processes and procedures in an accurate and consistent manner.
