Job Description
EDSB Integrated Solutions is a provider of Fire & Security, Electrical, Mechanical and Building Services.
We work nationally across the UK and pride ourselves on flexible, client‑focused service delivery.
We are seeking Fire & Security Installation Engineers to work across UK sites.
Responsibilities
- Install multiple system types including Fire, Intruder Alarm, CCTV, Access Control and DDA systems, from pre‑commissioning to commissioning.
- Identify and communicate potential risks to project delivery dates within time constraints.
- Commission and hand over systems in line with specifications and drawings, including client demonstrations.
- Ensure timesheets and all relevant paperwork are completed on time.
- Undertake relevant training as required and comply with H&S requirements.
- Support company policy and best practice in fire and security, especially regarding protection of sensitive customer information.
- Move to the Service Department or other projects as required.
- Complete relevant e‑documentation (tablet) or paperwork in line with SSAIB & BAFE requirements.
- Travel to locations across the UK, including overnight stays where necessary.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven background in Intruder, CCTV, Fire Alarms, Access Control, Door Entry and DDA systems.
- Experience with network/IP‑based products.
- Full understanding of BS5839 and other industry standards.
- Good communication skills; majority of role is customer‑facing.
- Capability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good understanding of health and safety.
- Full driving licence.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel nationwide; ability to work away with overnight stays (minimal).
- Willingness to go the extra mile.
- Knowledge of integration of detection systems into other disciplines is an advantage.
- ECS Card.
- Self‑motivated, professional, positive and proactive.
- Additional Requirements
- Prepared to work outside normal hours (08:30‑17:00 with 30‑minute lunch).
- Potential overnight stays; incentives discussed at interview.

- Open to newly qualified installation engineers; apply stating level of experience.
