We're looking for civil, structural and/or geotechnical engineers to join our team in various locations around the UK. Locations: Birmingham / Bristol / Cambridge / Cardiff / Glasgow / Leeds / Liverpool / London / Manchester / Newcastle / Norwich / Plymouth - agile working, with up to 1-2 days per week from home if desired.

Hours: 40 hours per week - flexibility on hours available if desired.

Salary: Starting from £60k per annum.

Are you...

  • Practically-minded, with a strong grounding in civil, structural and/or geotechnical engineering principles and knowledge of applicable design standards?
  • A Chartered Engineer (CEng) or of equivalent experience?

What will you be responsible for?

  • Leading the delivery of a broad range of complex construction engineering services, including some or all of: temporary works design and checking, reviewing permanent designs for compliance and buildability, supporting tenders and preconstruction planning, and providing technical support to overcome construction-stage and post-construction issues and defects.

Main responsibilities:

  • Acting as Project Lead for multiple complex projects, managing technical scope, programme, budget and relationships with preconstruction and construction teams, from bid through to delivery.
  • Producing, checking and reviewing design outputs such as calculations, sketches, drawings, 3D models, reports and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with CDM, SHE procedures and QA processes.
  • Developing yourself, other individuals and the wider team, contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and systems, enabling the business to adapt to current and future challenges.
