We are currently recruiting for a Mobile Calibration Engineer supporting the calibration and maintenance of material testing equipment used across major construction and civil engineering projects throughout the UK. This is a field-based role where the successful candidate will travel to customer laboratories, construction sites, and testing facilities carrying out calibration, servicing, inspection, and fault finding on a wide range of material testing equipment. The role plays a key part in ensuring testing equipment remains compliant, accurate, and operating to industry standards.

Typical equipment includes:

  • Concrete and compression testing machines
  • Soil and aggregate testing equipment
  • Asphalt and bituminous testing equipment
  • Balances, force, torque, pressure, and temperature equipment
  • Laboratory and site-based testing instruments

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out on-site calibration of material testing equipment
  • Servicing, inspection, and preventative maintenance
  • Fault finding and minor repairs on testing equipment
  • Producing calibration certificates and service documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO, UKAS, and industry standards

Requirements
