About the Role

Performs various tasks associated with the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical power and control systems.

What You’ll Accomplish

  • Assists in the maintenance of electrical systems throughout the plant, including troubleshooting and repair of LV/MV motors and motor controls, repair of LV/MV switchgear, PLC troubleshooting and programming, and instrumentation repair.
  • Assists/conducts preventative maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment.
  • Works with contractor personnel.
  • Suggests programs that reduce or contain costs and/or increase productivity, taking independent actions to resolve problems when appropriate.
  • Participates in formal and on-the-job training programs to acquire or broaden both technical and non-technical job skills; participates in cross-training activities.
  • Interacts with members of Process Areas on a regular basis to gather or communicate information and solve problems.
  • Follows all safety procedures, checks for safety hazards, takes corrective action to eliminate hazards, and adheres to plant environmental policies while maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
  • Participates in team meetings.
  • Applies skills and performs work in other positions as assigned.
  • Works rotating shift or on-call schedule and weekends as assigned.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments; promotes a culture of safety and exhibits these behaviours.

What We’re Looking For

  • Required Education: High School Diploma/GED
  • Additional Education: Associates/Technical Degree
  • Required Work Experience: 2-4 years
  • Travel Requirements: Less than 10%
  • 2-4 years of industrial experience is required; equivalent education may be considered.
  • General knowledge of electrical theory, including electrical safety theory, is required.
  • Success candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators.
  • Employees required to wear respirators must be clean‑shaven where the respirator seal contacts the face to pass fit tests.
