The Role
As an Electrical Engineering Lecturer, you will deliver high‑quality teaching across a range of electrical engineering courses, supporting learners to achieve their academic and career goals. You will play a key role in curriculum delivery, student support, and continuous improvement within the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across electrical engineering programmes (Level 2–Level 5 as appropriate)
- Develop and adapt teaching materials to meet learner needs
- Assess, track, and monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Support students' pastoral needs and promote a positive learning environment
- Contribute to course development and departmental initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and quality assurance standards
About You
We are looking for a motivated individual who brings both subject expertise and a passion for education. You will have:
- A degree (or equivalent qualification) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Relevant industry experience within electrical engineering
- A teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed) or a willingness to work towards one
- Experience delivering further education or training (desirable)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A commitment to student success and inclusive learning
