We are currently recruiting for a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a fast‑paced, highly automated manufacturing site in Wakefield. As a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of production equipment across the site. Working in a 12‑hour shift pattern (days and nights), you’ll be responsible for both reactive and planned maintenance, helping to minimise downtime and maximise operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a range of automated production machinery.
- Diagnose faults and carry out electrical and mechanical repairs efficiently.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
- Work collaboratively with production teams to reduce downtime and improve output.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety and site standards.
- Contribute to root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
About You
- Proven experience as a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer within a highly automated manufacturing environment.
- Strong electrical engineering background and relevant qualifications.
- Experience working with automated or high‑speed machinery is essential.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, shift‑based environment.
- Proactive approach with a strong focus on reliability and continuous improvement.
- Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND or equivalent).
