This role is about turning complex finance and treasury processes into streamlined, automated workflows that actually work in practice. You'll sit at the centre of delivery, technology, and process design, helping organisations move from manual effort to intelligent, scalable operations.
My client is an innovative, high‑growth organisation operating at the intersection of finance and technology. They are challenging traditional ways of working within treasury and finance by embedding automation and AI into day‑to‑day operations, not as a concept, but as a practical, scalable reality. This is a business built for people who want to be close to change. The environment is fast‑moving, collaborative, and designed for individuals who take ownership and enjoy building rather than maintaining.
This isn't a traditional implementation role. The Implementation Delivery Manager will own the full lifecycle of customer delivery, from onboarding through to go‑live and, more importantly, real adoption. You'll work directly with treasury and finance teams to understand how they operate today, and then help redesign that reality using automation and AI. At its core, this role is about translating intent into execution. You'll be connecting systems, mapping processes, and identifying where manual work can (and should) disappear. But equally important, you'll define where human oversight remains critical, striking the balance that most organisations are still trying to figure out. If you've ever looked at a finance process and thought 'there's a smarter way this should work', this role is built for that mindset.
Key Responsibilities- Implementation & Delivery Ownership
- Lead end‑to‑end implementation projects from kickoff through to production go‑live
- Own delivery timelines, dependencies, and risk management
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the implementation lifecycle
- Process Discovery & Optimisation
- Work closely with finance and treasury teams to unpack how things actually work today (not just how they're documented)
- Map connectivity across counterparties and systems
- Identify where processes break down, slow down, or rely too heavily on manual intervention
- Design future‑state workflows that balance automation, control, and usability
- Automation & AI Enablement
- Configure and deploy automation solutions aligned to real operational needs
- Define what should be automated, what shouldn’t, and where controls need to sit
- Help customers understand, in practical terms, how AI‑driven workflows fit into their environment
- Systems & Integration
- Coordinate integrations across ERP systems, banking platforms, and internal tools
- Ensure workflows show up where users already operate (rather than forcing behaviour change)
- Partner with engineering and product teams to solve integration and automation challenges
- Stakeholder Management
- Engage stakeholders across treasury, finance, IT, and security
- Set clear, realistic expectations around delivery milestones and outcomes
- Support security, compliance, and audit requirements without slowing momentum
- Adoption & Continuous Improvement
- Drive adoption by aligning solutions with real‑world workflows, not theoretical ones
- Support training, documentation, and change management
- Feed real customer insight back into product and implementation playbooks
- Experience delivering B2B SaaS implementations, ideally within enterprise environments
- Strong project management skills with the ability to operate in ambiguous, evolving environments
- Comfortable working directly with senior finance, treasury, and operations stakeholders
- Process & Systems Thinking
- Ability to break down and map end‑to‑end processes
- Experience redesigning workflows with automation or system improvements
- Naturally curious, asks why things are done a certain way before trying to improve them
- Automation & Technology Exposure
- Experience working with automation tools, rules engines, or AI‑enabled workflows
- Good judgement on what should be automated vs. retained manually
- Familiarity with workflow and communication tools used in modern finance teams
- Technical Understanding
- Comfortable working with APIs, integrations, and technical teams
- Able to understand system behaviour and data flows without needing to code
- Familiarity with cloud‑based environments and modern system architecture
- Additional Attributes
- High ownership mindset, someone who creates momentum rather than waits for direction
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas
- Genuine interest in how AI and automation are reshaping finance and treasury functions
This is an opportunity to step into a role that sits at the front line of change within finance and treasury. You'll be working on real transformation projects, not just system implementations, but fundamental shifts in how teams operate. The role offers a salary in the £60,000 to £65,000 range and benefits package, alongside exposure to cutting‑edge technology and the chance to shape how modern finance functions evolve.
