I'm working with a well-established transport and infrastructure consultancy that delivers integrated services across transport planning, highways (S278/S38) design, drainage, environmental planning, and project delivery. Operating nationally, the business works with a diverse range of public and private sector clients on development-led schemes. The consultancy is continuing to expand its new Birmingham office and is looking to appoint a Transport AutoCAD Technician to join one of the early hires in the team.

Responsibilities

  • Support the transport planning team on development-led projects
  • Produce and update highways and transport drawings using AutoCAD
  • Prepare S278/S38 layouts, junction designs, and general arrangement drawings
  • Assist with drawings for Transport Assessments and Transport Statements
  • Ensure compliance with UK design standards and local authority requirements
  • Coordinate with internal project teams to meet deadlines
  • Maintain accurate electronic project records
  • Contribute to the establishment and growth of the Birmingham office

Requirements

  • Strong AutoCAD skills (essential)
  • Experience in highways, transport, or civil engineering design
  • Exposure to development planning projects
  • Knowledge of S278/S38 schemes (desirable)
