The Role

As a Technical Program Manager, you will lead and deliver complex data platform and analytics programmes. You will combine strong technical knowledge with excellent programme execution, stakeholder management, and cross‑functional leadership skills. You will work closely with data engineering, analytics, platform, and business teams to plan, coordinate, and deliver scalable, high‑quality data solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Owning end‑to‑end delivery of data and analytics programmes, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Planning, tracking, and managing complex technical dependencies across Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, and GitHub‑based development workflows.
  • Collaborating closely with data engineering and analytics teams to support Snowflake architecture, performance optimisation, and cost management.
  • Overseeing dbt project delivery, testing approaches, deployment governance, and documentation standards.
  • Defining and enforcing SDLC and CI/CD best practices, including pull requests, code reviews, branching strategies, and release management.
  • Creating and maintaining programme artefacts such as roadmaps, delivery plans, RAID logs, and technical documentation.
  • Identifying delivery risks early and driving mitigation plans related to data quality, security, scalability, and delivery timelines.
  • Facilitating technical discussions and translating complex technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Driving continuous improvement in programme delivery processes, tooling, and performance metrics.
  • Ensuring adherence to data governance, security, and regulatory compliance standards.

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience

  • Proven experience in a Technical Program Manager, Technical Project Manager, or similar role.
  • Strong hands‑on understanding of Snowflake, dbt, GitHub, and Airflow in a production environment.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering data engineering or analytics platform programmes.
  • Solid understanding of modern data stacks, ETL pipelines, and cloud‑based data platforms.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage engineering teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities with minimal supervision.

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience

  • Experience with Python as a primary, alongside SQL and Bash.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with data quality frameworks and data observability tools.
  • Relevant professional certifications, including SAFe, PMP, or Agile certifications.
  • Prior experience supporting enterprise‑scale data transformation initiatives.
