Fantastic opportunity to work for a leading FM service provider situated in London. CBW is currently recruiting a Technical Maintenance Supervisor to work on a prestigious contract in London.

In this role, you will oversee the delivery of high-standard building services within a commercial, occupied environment, ensuring both planned and reactive work is delivered efficiently and to the highest level of customer satisfaction. This is an off the tools position, focusing on supervision, compliance, and contract support rather than hands-on maintenance. You will support the Contract Manager in the day-to-day running of the contract, managing a team of engineers, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring full compliance with statutory and health & safety requirements.

A key part of the role will involve:

  • Reviewing and approving RAMS, issuing permits to work, managing compliance documentation, and ensuring all activities align with site procedures and safe systems of work.
  • Attending client meetings, producing reports, monitoring KPIs/SLAs, and maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders.

Hours of Work
Monday to Friday, 08:00am - 17:00pm

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the building maintenance team and specialist subcontractors.
  • Ensure all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works are completed to required standards.
  • Review, approve, and manage RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements).
  • Issue and control Permits to Work, ensuring full compliance with site safety procedures.
  • Monitor and update CAFM systems and maintenance records.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation, company policies, and safe systems of work.
  • Produce reports, track KPIs/SLAs, and support contract performance reviews.
  • Liaise with clients, tenants, and internal teams to ensure high levels of service delivery.
  • Identify plant or system defects and manage remedial works through the engineering team or subcontractors (rather than carrying out the work directly).
  • Assist in preparing quotations, scopes of work, and technical recommendations.
  • Support the Contract Manager in the overall delivery and continuous improvement of the contract.
  • Provide out-of-hours support for emergency situations where required (on-call).

Requirements

  • Electrically qualified City & Guilds (Level 2/3 or equivalent), 18th Edition desirable.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or lead role within FM / building services.
  • Strong understanding of RAMS, permits to work, and compliance processes.
  • Experience using CAFM systems and producing reports.
  • Good knowledge of commercial building services (HVAC, Electrical, etc.).
  • Experience with LV/HV systems (Desirable).
