I'm currently working with a global technology consultancy that is expanding its Newcastle delivery centre and looking to hire an experienced Technical Architect. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing engineering team delivering large-scale digital transformation projects for major public and private sector organisations.

The Opportunity

As a Technical Architect, you'll be responsible for shaping solution designs, defining architecture standards, and providing technical leadership across the full delivery lifecycle. You'll work closely with developers, testers, business stakeholders, and governance teams to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements into clear technical designs
  • Define both functional and non-functional requirements
  • Produce architecture documentation and design artefacts
  • Guide decisions around infrastructure, security, integrations, and software design
  • Provide technical leadership to engineering teams
  • Present architectural solutions to stakeholders at all levels
  • Conduct design reviews and mentor junior team members

What They’re Looking For

  • Experience as a Technical Architect, Solution Architect, or Senior Technical Lead
  • Strong understanding of architecture principles and design patterns
  • Ability to create clear and actionable technical documentation
  • Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Experience in enterprise software delivery, architecture governance, and technical leadership would be highly beneficial.

Security Clearance

Applicants must be eligible for UK Security Clearance (5 years' continuous UK address history required).
