As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to oversee a key project in Wiltshire, with future work expected across the Midlands and South. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful technical and commercial delivery of mechanical packages on complex projects, maintaining our high standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the mechanical installation and commissioning process from pre-construction through to handover
- Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Review and manage technical drawings, specifications, and submittals
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and programme milestones
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company standards
- Attend and lead site meetings with clients and stakeholders
- Support procurement activities and manage subcontractor performance
- Assist in managing project documentation and reporting
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Engineer within an M&E or main contracting environment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical building services (HVAC, pipework, plant rooms, etc.)
- Experience delivering projects within Education, MoJ, healthcare, or similarly regulated sectors is advantageous
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project financials
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider project team
- Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (HNC/HND/Degree )
- CSCS card (relevant level)
- Security clearance (or willingness and eligibility to obtain it) is highly desirable
