A global manufacturing company now offers a newly created opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join the team in the DE11 to DE15 area.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Service Team Leader and control the maintenance, service and repairs of material handling equipment on various customer sites within your postcode area.
  • Work with an assortment of equipment, from small pallet trucks to IC trucks, VNA trucks and automated trucks, diagnosing and rectifying faults and undertaking preventative maintenance on forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Manage your own work in progress, ensure all relevant paperwork is completed accurately, and attend regular training courses to maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of equipment.
  • Act as an active team player, sustaining the company’s prestigious reputation.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification (certificates required).
  • Vehicle Technician, HGV Technician or Roadside Recovery experience considered.
  • Technical experience in engines, electrics (diagnostics) and/or hydraulics.
  • IT literate and comfortable using the latest technology.
  • Salary & Benefits
  • OTE approximately £45k in your first year.
  • Full door‑to‑door coverage within your postcode area – no need to travel far from home.
  • Standard 40‑hour week, Monday to Friday.
  • Overtime paid at time and a half over a standard working week.
