We’re working with an ambitious, owner-led food business undergoing a significant phase of growth and operational development. With an established presence across grocery and retail channels, the business is now investing in strengthening its UK supply chain capability, with a particular focus on ambient and chilled product categories.

This role offers the chance to take ownership of end-to-end supply chain operations within a fast-paced, evolving environment. You’ll play a central role in improving efficiency, enhancing supplier relationships, and supporting the business as it develops greater local manufacturing and sourcing capability. It’s a hands-on position with real scope to shape processes, influence decisions, and contribute to long-term operational strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage supplier relationships, onboarding, and performance
  • Oversee logistics, warehousing, and 3PL partners
  • Drive improvements in stock optimisation and supply chain efficiency
  • Support the transition toward more locally sourced and manufactured products
  • Ensure compliance across UK/EU supply, including import requirements
  • Own quality processes including audits, complaints, and recall management
  • Contribute to future systems and ERP implementation
  • Work cross-functionally with commercial, planning, and product teams
The Profile
  • Proven experience across supply chain, logistics, and warehousing within FMCG or food
  • Strong understanding of ambient and chilled supply chains
  • Knowledge of product specifications, raw materials, and regulatory/import requirements
  • Comfortable operating in a hands-on, evolving business
  • Commercially aware with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Able to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day execution
