A leading UK engineering organisation delivering complex, high-profile projects within the energy and industrial sectors is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager on a contract basis to support a major long-term oil and gas programme. Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project delivery across engineering workstreams, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule and budget.
- Act as the main point of contact for customer project matters, managing communication and technical interface.
- Oversee project planning, risk management, reporting and change control processes.
- Coordinate project activity with internal teams including Projects, Design, Manufacturing and SHEQ.
- Support the development and implementation of project plans, governance frameworks and delivery strategies.
- Maintain clear documentation and ensure consistent project governance across all working locations.
- Travel regularly between Stockport, Lisburn and the customer site in Teesside.
Essential Requirements
- Strong background in technical project management within the oil and gas sector.
- Proven experience in delivering complex engineering projects, including planning, risk and stakeholder management.
- Ability to confidently interface with customers and cross-functional internal teams.
- Strong understanding of engineering processes, project controls and regulatory compliance.
- Willingness to travel between multiple sites as required.
