The Role
You’ll join a close-knit engineering team responsible for designing and developing mechanical components and assemblies — from concept through to manufacture. Working with CNC‑machined parts, enclosures and precision fittings, you’ll turn ideas into robust, cost-effective, production‑ready designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and develop mechanical designs and 3D models using CAD software
- Produce detailed manufacturing drawings, BOMs and documentation
- Work closely with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure designs are optimised for machining and assembly
- Support prototype builds, testing and product validation
- Drive continuous improvement of existing designs for performance and cost
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with production, quality and procurement
About You
- Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
- Solid experience designing machined components and assemblies
- Proficient with CAD (SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo or similar)
- Strong understanding of materials, tolerancing and manufacturing processes (CNC, turning, milling)
- Hands‑on approach with an eye for detail and problem‑solving
