Role Overview
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing all commercial aspects of our projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee financial management of all projects, including budget control, cost planning, and financial forecasting.
- Manage contracts and negotiations with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients, ensuring the best value and high standards are maintained.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and industry standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate project risks.
- Work closely with project teams to monitor progress, resolve issues, and maintain quality control.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and suppliers, enhancing our firm's reputation and customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to strategic planning and growth initiatives alongside the senior leadership team.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a commercial or quantity surveying role within the construction or building industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, and cost management.
- Excellent negotiation, financial analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive approach with strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a family-oriented, small business environment.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is advantageous.
