Specification Sales Manager – Surface Materials
Job Title: Specification Sales Manager - Laminate Surfaces
Area to be covered: London
Remuneration: £50,000 - £55,000 + 15% - 50% target related bonus
Benefits: £7,600 car allowance, 6% pension, 25 days holiday, Laptop, Phone etc.
Responsibilities
- Specification sales position selling manufactured range of surface materials, laminate / wood based products used for internal doors, furniture, walls and washrooms, bonded panels etc.
- Generate specification via architects, interior designers, retail end users, fabricators and contractors.
- Order fulfilment through merchants / distribution channels.
- Typical projects: schools, hospitals, high street stores, commercial office, sports centres (e.g., Holiday Inn).
- Work closely with dedicated field sales / business development teams and pass projects through.
- Handle typical order values £1k - £150k.
Qualifications
- Specification sales experience in the construction industry.
- Contacts with architects & interior designers.
- Experience as an internal showroom sales professional dealing with specifiers.
- Open to a wide variety of decorative, tactile / aesthetically pleasing interior products such as carpets, curtains, fabrics, flooring, wall coverings, textiles, paint etc.
- Self-sufficient problem solver with a learn-as-you-develop attitude.
- Sales attributes such as negotiation skills, commercial awareness and strong decision making will be advantageous.
