Responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, machinery and infrastructure as assigned by the Plant Engineer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Effectively troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment to identify issues and take necessary corrective actions.
- Inspect machinery, lubricate and make adjustments or repairs as needed.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on production equipment and ensure good operating condition while optimizing equipment uptime and ensuring the safe and timely manufacture of products.
- Document preventative maintenance and repairs in equipment maintenance logs per maintenance department requirements.
- Perform facility maintenance as required.
- Participate in the installation of new equipment and physical structures as required.
- Operate shop equipment and tools as skill level will permit.
- Ability to work overtime on nights and weekends as required for the efficient operation of equipment of the facility or when emergencies arise.
- Support site housekeeping, safety programs or other related tasks and duties as assigned.
- Secure forklift, lift truck and scissor lift certifications within 90 days of employment.
- Follow proper safety rules and regulations throughout the facility using OSHA best practices.
- Report any safety concerns or issues to management immediately.

Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Technical school certificate in mechanical, electrical systems or hydraulics a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Experience with plastic or silicone processing equipment.
- Experience with building automation system (BAS).
Essential Skills and Attributes
- Work in a fast paced, flexible environment.
- Self‑motivated, does not need constant supervision.
- Work well on a diverse team.
- Ability to communicate effectively with management as well as other team members.
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams.
- Knowledge and understanding of three phase and single phase power systems, electrical wiring and control circuitry.
- Basic computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
