We are recruiting an experienced Bid Manager for an established Tier 1 contractor operating across the South Coast. The business is an established UK contractor with a strong reputation for honesty and quality of delivery, trusted by supply chain partners and suppliers as a preferred partner. They work strictly on framework and negotiated schemes in the Education, Care, NHS, MOD, MOJ and local authority sectors, ranging from £20 million to £90 million and operate on a 2‑stage basis.

Responsibilities

  • Join an existing pre‑construction team to identify which bids to target. The selective business only works on bids that can benefit the organisation and deliver for the client.
  • Work with the wider pre‑con team to devise, strategise and build the best possible bid at stage 1.
  • Present the bid, and if successful, take it through the stage 2 process working with estimating and design teams, while serving as the client point of contact for all enquiries.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing large, complex bids and experience with 2‑stage schemes is an advantage.
  • Ability to understand technical queries, be confident in writing and producing detailed bids and creating quality, detailed and referenced content including the initial PQQ for clients.
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK is required.
