Are you experienced in driving operational efficiency within a fast-paced distribution environment? Do you have extensive experience in operational management within food or beverage distribution? Are you an inspirational leader who genuinely cares about their workforce? MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading FMCG business on the search for a Warehouse Operations Manager. This is a perm role based in Solihull.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, and distribution of food and FMCG products.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods to customers, maintaining supply chain efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels, track shipments, and ensure proper handling and storage conditions of food and FMCG products.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of logistics professionals, ensuring high performance and adherence to company standards.
- Conduct regular training sessions to improve skills and maintain team motivation.
- Coordinate and optimize transportation routes, working closely with drivers and external transport providers.
What We're Looking For:
- At least 5 years of experience in logistics management within the food or FMCG industry.
- Proven track record of managing logistics teams and transportation operations.
- Experience working with third-party logistics providers and external transport services.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards, regulatory compliance, and industry-specific best practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
