I am working with a leading renewable company that delivers large-scale energy efficiency and renewable solutions across the UK, working across solar, LED and EV infrastructure to help organisations decarbonise in a commercially viable way. As their solar portfolio expands rapidly, they’re now looking to bring in a strong operational leader to help scale delivery and shape how projects are executed end-to-end.

About the Role

You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of our solar PV projects across the UK. Working closely with sales, finance, project delivery partners, internal teams, and clients, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and on budget. This is a key role within our growing solar business, offering the opportunity to shape operational processes, improve delivery performance, and support our mission to eliminate energy waste and make Net Zero profitable.

What you’ll do:

  • Own the operational delivery of solar PV projects from early stage Heads of Terms signing through to commissioning and handover.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, and resources with the team to ensure successful delivery.
  • Coordinate internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with H&S standards, CDM regulations, and industry best practice.
  • Oversee development of projects, site readiness, delivery programmes, and documentation.
  • Act as the main escalation point for operational issues and client queries during delivery.
  • Track and report on project performance, KPIs, and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Support the development and implementation of scalable processes as the solar portfolio grows, with an improvement mindset.

Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing solar PV operations or project delivery at scale.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across different locations.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including budget and cost control.
  • Highly organised, solutions-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with subcontractor delivery models.

Desirable:

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of health & safety requirements within construction or renewables.
  • Strong understanding of UK solar regulations, DNO processes, and grid connections.
  • Relevant technical or project management qualification (desirable but not essential).
