Job Description Town Planning consultant - Sheffield (Hybrid Working) Are you an ambitious Town Planner or Senior Town Planner looking to take the next step in your career?
We're working with a highly respected planning and development consultancy to recruit a talented Town Planner to join its growing Sheffield team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects while benefiting from a supportive, collaborative culture and genuine career progression.
As a Town Planner, you'll play a key role in delivering planning advice across a wide range of residential, commercial, mixed-use, regeneration, and strategic development projects.
You'll work closely with experienced planning professionals, developers, landowners, and multidisciplinary teams to help shape successful developments from inception through to delivery.
The business has built a strong reputation for providing commercially focused planning advice and prides itself on delivering high-quality outcomes for clients across both the public and private sectors.
The Role
- Preparing and managing planning applications and appeals.
- Producing planning appraisals, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Providing planning advice to clients throughout the development process.
- Liaising with local planning authorities, consultees, and key stakeholders.
- Supporting project delivery across a varied and exciting portfolio.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
About You
- A degree in Town Planning or a related RTPI accredited discipline.
- MRTPI membership or progress towards chartership.
- Previous experience within a planning consultancy, local authority, or developer environment.
- Strong report writing and organisational abilities.
- A proactive approach with the confidence to manage multiple projects.
