We are working with a well-established and growing aerospace manufacturing business, supplying precision components to globally recognised customers. Due to ongoing growth and business needs, they are seeking an experienced Planning Manager on a minimum 15-month interim contract. This is a key role within the operations team, responsible for delivering robust production plans that meet customer demand, improve on-time delivery, and drive operational efficiency across a complex and highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to meet customer demand
  • Lead the SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) process
  • Monitor and improve KPIs, WIP, inventory, and on-time delivery performance
  • Analyse production data to support informed decision making
  • Work cross-functionally with Production, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Quality teams
  • Manage and develop the planning team, driving performance and continuous improvement
  • Identify and implement process improvements and cost efficiencies

Requirements

  • Proven experience in production planning within manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of SIOP / ERP systems
  • Experience working with KPIs, forecasting, and data analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Desirable

  • Aerospace or other regulated industry experience
  • CPIM or similar planning certification
  • Degree in a relevant discipline
