Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting for a permanent position based with our client in Sheffield. Immediate start available (subject to interview process). Salary is £45,000 per annum (depending on experience).
Working hours: Monday to Wednesday 8 am to 4:30 pm, Thursday 8 am to 3:30 pm and Friday 8 am to 12 pm.
Key Responsibilities:- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and industrial machinery.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documents.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to reduce downtime.
- Diagnose electrical faults and repair industrial equipment including motors, conveyors, control panels, and PLC systems (not essential).
- Ensure all installations and repairs comply with relevant electrical codes and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to support equipment upgrades or new installations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment efficiency and reliability.
- Proven experience as an electrician in industry, particularly with machine maintenance.
- 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, and motor controls.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to safety procedures and regulations.
